Purchasing

Most of the L’Appart Vintage items are sold through the website gallery or through private appointment. To purchase an item, please contact us via phone or email, quoting the item reference number.

We endeavour to describe all items as fully as possible, to the best of our knowledge, providing as much history and detail as is known to us, together with a full description of any defects or faults. However, as with all antiques, there will be some element of wear and tear, associated with use and age which form a part of the appearance and nature of a vintage item. We aim to ensure that the condition of any item is as reasonable as possible given its age and nature. By placing an order, you are deemed to acknowledge the vintage nature of the goods we are selling.

Please feel free to contact us for further photographs and a condition report.

Shipping

If required, delivery for most items can be arranged but is charged in addition to the purchase price. Alternatively, you are welcome to use the delivery company of your choice

A quote will be obtained and agreed upon prior to delivery. This can vary from 3GBP upwards depending on the product size, fragility and precise delivery method required. Delivery is generally 3 – 4 days, but may take longer for larger/special order/fragile items.

Day to Day Courier: Smaller, less fragile goods are shipped via this method. A signature is required upon delivery.

Fragile 1 or 2 man service: This is a premium 1 – 2 man service for larger, more fragile goods which are shipped via this more personal secure service. Please ensure that large items, such as bookcases, desks, wardrobes and armoires, fit through the threshold of your property and through hallways, doors, swivel points – such as staircases, sharp angles etc.

International Shipping: will need to be quoted on an individual basis but will be provided at cost.

We strongly advise checking deliveries immediately upon receipt. We must be notified of any damages within 48 hours – after this point we are unable to claim for damages in transit (photo evidence may be required).
